Ecology on Demand® is a novel new service from Richard Crompton Limited. It aims to provide ad-hoc support, advice, mentoring and training - usually regarding bat ecology - to professional clients. If you need help with something; a report or mitigation scheme reviewed, a second opinion or more experienced person to provide background support for a more complex site, have a look at my off the peg bookable services, or get in touch directly for friendly bespoke support.
Friendly advice from a trustworthy source
Ecology on Demand is a novel new service aimed at supporting other professional ecologists.
Services available currently include: mentoring support for professional ecologists, reviews (reports, licences and mitigation) mainly for bats, ecology business advice, second opinions and conflict resolution, external auditor for licences, expert witness, and selecting equipment and software.
In addition to my support and training work, I only aim to take on a handful of project sites. These all involve bats and typically are associated with large or important roosts, including both horseshoe bat species, or bats in unusual or strategically important structures. I do not typically undertake preliminary surveys for planning applications.
Over the past twenty years I have undertaken ecological surveys - mostly for bats - at over 1000 different sites, for almost every type of client imaginable; private developers, householders, large corporate, military, infrastructure, nuclear power stations, housing developers, farms, castles, charities large and small. As one of the most active trainers for professional bat surveys skills, I have also trained over 220 people for bats licences, plus many more from arborists, environmental managers and staff from the Statutory Agencies.
